About the Race and Cause
Thank you for joining us on April 14, 2013 for the URace4Water: KC Balloon Dash 5K & 10K at Shawnee Mission Park!
This was a professionally timed 5K and 10K by Race Day Timing Solutions. Each participant that completed the 5K or 10K run/walk with a water balloon in-hand earned a chance at the grand prize. Upon finishing, participants launched their balloon at a target, and the furthest landing launch received a fantastic prize!
All funds raised benefit the UNICEF Tap Project and help provide access of clean water for communities in countries without this necessary fundamental infrastructure. In addition, race day participants had the opportunity to learn about water quality and infrastructure in our local metropolitan area.
